Is george Bush some kind of Divine retribution for all of the nation's sins stretching back over 3 centuries or simply an inept Malevolent force laying waste to whatsoe'er his hand may turn?.... the Environment, our Military, Alliances, our Prestige and Reputation, our Laws & Institutions, our Health and Welfare, Religious and Political cultures....
.... the Economy?
Our "great" economy. That last standing set-piece in BushAmerika....
Oil is knocking on $80 dollars a barrel-The Yen is knocking at 118 and falling (getting stronger, with the inference of a collapse of the carry trade), the dollar index is hovering around it's low support levels (80) and the air is rapidly escaping the global credit balloon...
On W's watch, in real time, it's all unraveling.

This is a partial list, off the top of my head--additions and subtractions will be carefully considered. If readers would like, I'll give you my definition of right-wing extremism next week....(Later, that next week....)

I’ve long seen the bible as basically a spiritual mirror, capable of rendering a flattering reflection to any and all temperaments. There’s gentle jesus, (suffer the children to come unto me) ass whoopin jesus (in the case of the moneychangers, literally) Hippie commune lefty jesus (preaching peace and love while standing up to the Pharisee “Man”) Hip-Hop jesus hangin wid da hoes. Etc and now , courtesy of the l.a. times we have a Maxim neo -con Christ in the form of the GodMen movement. A Jesus as “Jackass” take on the bible.
The dude is pure taffy it seems. To whit….

Dearly Daily Kossacks-It has been 6 long god damn years. For that period and the 6 preceding it, i've been a professional songwriter. Sometime after the '04 re "election" i snapped. Like many here, it wasn't just the naked ineptness of Bushco or the fact that propaganda had Kerried the day yet again that bothered me as much as the SILENCE accompanying W's rule.
